Pant and Pandya were playing faster than Pant and Rohit. 

 

India was playing to win until Dhoni entered. I am not sure whether it was a deliberate decision to play for NRR at that point, or if it was just the fact that Dhoni was incapable of winning us the match at that point, but he slowed things down, and destroyed Pandya’s rhythm as well.
