It's hardly his fault that TM has botched up his role. he should have been playing at 4 throughout. he is a proper middle order batsman and not a lower order bat.

he has got hardly any batting chances. should have played at 4 or 5 in most matches. he failed last match for sure, but this match there was a lack of intent shown by many. and that 50 against afg was ugly but it came at a needed time. he has failed to the same extent as shankar, but there seem to be more anti-jadhav threads.

 

In principle, he should not have been in the WC if youngsters like Iyer, Gill, Shaw and Pant were groomed 1-2 yrs before WC, but that didn't happen. it's primarily the fault of selectors and then the TM for mis-utilizing him.

Can't blame him set guys should have carried on.  None of the top 3 was good enough, consumed too many. You can't expect to chase 340 by scoring 27 in first 10  like you are chasing 180.  Match ka mujrim kohli and rohit

rohit  caught up his strike rate..you can chase 100 in last 10 on this patta and a mediocre england attack but dhoni and jadhav were pathetic

Therein lies the issue. Somehow TM is treating him as a No. 7. He does not have the ability to be a No. 7. IMO, he was best suited at 4 or 5, especially against spinners or medium pacers (not genuine pace). our batting order in the middle is all muddled up.

He is probably in same position as KL Rahul. Both players are struggling so if we gave so many chances to Rahul, Kedar also deserves a fair run.

 

and Rahul as an opener is a bigger problem than Kedar
