Both Kuldeep & Chahal HAVE TO play in the knockouts!

With the pitches getting slower and only "white" teams remaining who are piss poor against spin bowling, its time for us to take advantage of this and kill our opponents with our spin twins! 

These 2 spinners are the biggest reason after Jasprit Bumrah to why India has been such a very strong ODI team in the past year and a half. If both are included in the playing XI, it will give Team India a much bigger chance of winning games!

He wasn't dropped because of failure - he was dropped because of the conditions. It was either him or Chahal - personally I'd take Kuldeep.

The semi finals is played in same pitch were our spinners got hit all over the park against England so continue with three pacers. We need to adopt short pitch strategy against England to have any chance of winning

Kuldeep had only one good game and was averaging 55 that's why he was dropped.

Spinners have barely had any say in this WC till now. Slow pitches doesn't mean spin pitches. Slow pitches don't help spinners much. They help those fast bowlers who can bowl good slower balls.

What you personally think doesn't matter. What both have done does. Kuldeep has been horrible this tournament except against Pak, struggled even against Afghanistan. Kuldeep has 5 wickets at 55. Chahal 10 in the same number of games. If pitch helps spin, sure both will play but if it doesn't then it will depend on how the combination pan out. If opposition has many lefties then Kuldeep if not then Chahal.

Well if that’s the case then we should play two spinners for sure . One wristy and jadeja . As we saw against that pitch has slowed down and there is wear and tear on the pitch . So if it’s played on the same pitch then it advantage India . 

 

But it I doubt it will be the same pitch for the semis it might be a fresh wicket , then we might as well throw in the towel

Kuldeep has not been horrible,This has been fast bowlers tournament ,Hardly any spinner in top wicket taker list.Kuldeep has a good economy rate of 4.9 .Chahal wickets came from pressure from partnership with Kuldeep.Even in England game Kuldeep outbowled chahal.You have to take some risk he is a match winner.

He has actually been horrible. Go watch game against Afghanistan or first game against SA. He got away against Afghanistan with poor bowling as they were very defensive. Average of 55 does indicate something.

 

Now on one hand you are it has been a fast bowlers tournament and then you advocate playing two spinners who taken combined 16 wickets at an average of 45. While 3 pacers have 34 wickets at 20 and you want us to drop one of the pacers and that's utter foolishness. Don't go by perception but by results and actual performances.

Spinners haven't been our strength in this tournament. They are averaging 45, three pacers 20. Don't go by perception. Two spinners are a luxury we can't afford.

Slow pitch does not mean it helps spin. Ball barely turned even against BD on a weary pitch. Slow pitches don't help spinners at all as they need pace of the pitch.

He has actually been horrible. Go watch game against Afghanistan or first game against SA. He got away against Afghanistan with poor bowling as they were very defensive. Average of 55 does indicate something.

I don't agree he bowled horribly in any game.Kuldeep has always had control which is rarity for wrist spinner.In pressure games I would always go for attacking option.We played 3 fast bowlers against Bangladesh and they nearly chased the total.

It can either be Shami or kuldeep.

 

looking at Shami, he is easy fodder after 35th over as his length allows batsmen to attack which we saw against bangla nd eng. So bhuvi has to play specially for death overs.

 

Also kuldeep doesnt seem like taking wickets.

 

Personally i will go with 3 pacers than 2 spinners as our pacers specially Shami is a wucket taker in middle overs

Or pacers who are really quick in the air and can negate the slow pitches somewhat.

 

Starc, Bumrah,  Archer, Shami, Wood, Ferguson have all taken loads of wickets.

Why is Bhuvi “wicketless” Kumar an automatic selection in the starting XI? He’s not going to bother either England or Australia at all in the knockouts.

 

If people want to include him because of his so called batting, then India doesn’t deserve to win any match where they are depending on #8 to get runs. If the top 7 can’t do the job, then we our #8 can’t do it either. 

 

Kuldeep and Chahal have had so much success in the past year and a half. If we play both of them in the knockouts, we have a greater chance of winning!

Is the TM doing anything to make Kuldeep and Chahal learn how to bat a little bit ?    Otherwise we will hv the longest Tail among all the SemiFinalists. Once we r 5 wickets down, it's as good as being All Out.
