Some people are just assuming likes of Gill, Shaw will perform in SENA countries. Guys like Rohit and Rahane were highly touted youngsters once.I understand the need to have youth in the team but that should not mean kicking out 30  year old guys from the team.

I am not liking what I am seeing from Kohli, since Australian series he is not being consistent. This guy has to score more runs in a series than just show up once in every series.

I don't think it would have been a wrong choice given we had a useless guy like Karthik play as a batsman .

Fully back this.

 

Likes of rohit rahane etc are 31 and not what i would define as being old.

 

Probably rahane should have  been dropped a year ago. But not now when he  is actually getting back to form and playing quite well then he derserves to be backed.

 

Personally i would retain these set of batsmsn till 2021 world test championship. Post that then we need to start to giving chances to yougsters.

The plan was to score heavily before the new ball, both batters were teeing off.

Yes but as I said the plan seemed to be about scoring quickly against spinners, doesn't always come off though. Besides SA is done here, don't see them making a match out of it now
