express bowling Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 My playing 11 would be 1. Rohit 2. Mayank 3. Gill 4. Kohli 5. Vihari 6. Rahane / Ashwin ( if extra spinner is wanted ) 7. Pant 8. Jadeja 9. Kuldeep 10. Umesh 11. Shami ---- This combination will give chances to Gill, Vihari, Pant and Kuldeep without weakening either batting or bowling. ---- Rahane can be replaced with Ashwin if the pitch looks very flat or more spinners are wanted. Mosher, Cricwala and Suhaan 1 2
cowboysfan Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 you cant just drop a guy in nadeem who performed well in his debut.

Pujara has again returned to his 'once in a blue moon' mode which is going to hurt the team in the long run. We have much better 'Bradman at home' Rohit now. Also Mayank, Vihari & Kohli too are playing along with all rounders. Still if they feel uncertain against this 'BAN which lost to Afghans of all teams at home' at home with out Pujara , they even don't deserve to play. Test championship or not, team cannot improve in the long run with out timely experimentations. The TM should be able to find a balance between 'being aware of points ' & 'timely experimentations' moving forward. What not, it would be these timely experimentations that is going to earn ' Test championship points' in the long run. i think every team will play their best 11 regardless of the competition in the test championship where every win is vital.
adi B Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Nice squad ,just get kuly in for nadeem in the playing 11 and you have the perfect 11

Yeah pretty good 11 if we want to try out new players. I'd actually drop rahane and play gill at 5 ,kuly in place of nadeem ,pant in place of saha

ShoonyaSifar Posted October 25, 2019 Posted October 25, 2019 Full strength team vs BD who will lose to even our A side. Rohit Mayank Pujara Kohli -> Gill Rahne Vihari Saha -> Pant Jadeja Shami -> Siraj Ashwin -> Kuldeep Umesh More then enough to thrash BD. But like we do in each ICC tournament, oldies will hog spots, get injured closer to the WC or choke in knock outs and media will blame youngsters.
Vilander Posted October 26, 2019 Posted October 26, 2019 Umesh and Shami vs BD will be fun to watch. lulz express bowling 1

ShoonyaSifar Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 If Shakib and Tamim are not there, I hope we rest Kohli, Shami, Ishant, Ashwin and Jadeja (all of them should have been rested anyways). Play Gill, Siraj, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep and Nadeem. Would be a shame to watch a full strength Indian team take on a BD A side in India.

vishalvirsingh Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 this tour will be a good opportunity to rotate players- having said that i am not suggesting to rest all main players but yes they should try to play GILL and one fast bowler , shammi/ishant/umesh are the one selected , they should have picked saini and played one of the three and saini. express bowling 1
rtmohanlal Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 I think India should test their bench strength than normal depending on the BAN team strength. Also they should play extra 2 tests against any top opposition in the future fixture to compensate for the wastage of slot in playing this border line minnow level team(with out Shakib & Tamim).
bowl_out Posted October 28, 2019 Posted October 28, 2019 I don't trust our TM to make any changes trying to experiment. Expect the same team that played the second test vs SA to play against BAN. Unless, there are injuries, the likes of Gill, Kuldeep, Pant will continue to be benched.
