A decent option given Pant's struggles. But Kohli won't give Rahul opening position as long as Dhawan is around and he is not comfortable at 4.

Of course, totally expecting Kohli to not utilise this, or any other, common-sensical option.

 

If our top 3 is going to be Dhawan, Rohit, Kohli in T20, we should just kiss goodbye to both 2020 and 2021 WCs. Ideal line up would be - KL, Rohit, Iyer/Shaw, Kohli (with KL and Iyer/Shaw given license to go berserk and Rohit and Kohli trying to play through the innings), SKY, Hardik, Sundar/Dube + 4 bowlers
