Who is the best player of spin in the world in the current batsmen?

My choice would surprise most of you...

He is not even representing any national team now...

For me...its KL Rahul..

They way he played spin on dicey pitches is just noteworthy...

Then comes mayank agarwal and S.smith...

 

I haven't seen Babar azam much...and hence cannot comment..

 

Joe root, Kohli and kane is V.good but not special....

 

Faf, Angelo, Shakib etc..... are all good

 

Rohit and Rahane are pathetic players of spin in testing conditions...

 

BTW...we are not talking about T20's or ODi's here............

Rahul s bangalore innings against Australia was praise worthy.. single handedly won the match for india. Scored around 90 odd.. but he has regressed.. karunaratne should be in the list as well as watling

KL’s defensive game against spinners isn’t great , he looks good when he’s attacking them ..but that’s an issue with most indian bats in recent years .

TBH i hvent seen any major issue with KL against spin 

 

The issue he had in last few years - bat coming at an angle, bat getting twisted in hand, cluttered mind which doesnt let batsman decide to forward of back, Wasnt picking line early due to mindset , confidence issues in last 2 years .....these things were making his life more difficult against moving ball. When he was in full flow he use to smash them very well. Once he gets his game n confidence back we wud know better .

Kohli is a good player of spin but he also kind of drops his concentration against them specially when the spinner doesnt have a huge name which is why in last few years spinners have troubled him a bit even in IPL

Played against Lyon whom Indian batsman struggled he took him out of the attack. He is one of the main reason to win against aussies.

Agreed but when i say few years its to see how he comes up against the plans when these bowlers figure him out. 

Its always better to judge someone over a period of time in diff situation n conditions
