What’s the point of a Odi series when there is WT20 around the corner and the world test championship in progress.

This is why bilaterals are losing their significance. Is there any T20 or test in this tour?

Nope. Only ODIs.

After long time i see aus has sent full squad to india for LOIs. Should be good series but i wanted t20s and tests as well.

I think they came with a full strength team in 2017 when we won 4-1. No?

wow they are coming with Starc, Hazelwood and Cummins and we will serve them thakur, chahar and kumar.

I think Bumrah will be back for this series. So it'd likely be Bumrah, Shami and  chahar.

That would be great but we need another tall fast bowler or out and out express bowler. As bumrah needs time to gain his mojo after his injury layoff .

Far too many totally random and useless LOI series being played, rather than full tours. We played Australia earlier this year in a 5 ODI series, within 9 months, we play them again!

On the series itself, Aussies are on an upswing. They beat us in March '19 and most likely will beat us again this time round with a much stronger team.

We have a NZ tour from 24th January. Instead of ensuring the team gets an additional week to be in NZ to play an extra practice match, BCCI schedules a useless 3 match ODI series (and before that a 3 match T20 series vs SL). Could easily have gone to NZ 10 days earlier than scheduled improving our chances of doing better.

The Aus series will end on 19th Jan. Our 1st T20 in NZ is on 24th Jan. Basically the team will land in NZ on 21st Jan and play a T20 2 days later! Kudos to BCCI and it's scheduling.

I'm sick of watching us play Windies, Australia and Lanka. 60% of our games in the last 3 years have been against these 3 teams.

This was the perfect time for a T20 series with the Afghans who recently beat the Windies. Make no mistake, Afghanistan can beat us in T20s (heck even odis) anywhere in Asia.

It can serve the purpose of providing batting time for batsmen outside the top 3. A 50 overs game is not T20 but it is still better than nothing. Our top 3 usually hog all the strike in a T20 game and rarely give a chance to anyone else.

Never happening. The top 3 have not let go of any opportunities to bat vs SA A, BD and WI. You think they'd do this vs Aus?
