Kohli's technique has never improved against moving ball , he was just managing, unlike Smith who look so assured in any conditions, this guy has huge problems.

Shaw's approach is better than Pujara's on these types of wickets.

 

Modern day players don't develop there techniques like they did in the past. It is better they attack and play their natural game on these types of wickets.

 

Indian batting line up should not be grinding to score, they should attack the debutant and CDG. This grinding approach has never worked previously on tours of SA and Eng.

 

The team is definitely missing Rohit Sharma.

Should have played practice match knowing your form isn't that great. Also why declare after lunch when you had 2 session to bat or even bowl? why in hurry?

Kohli is yet to recover from the 0-3 whitewash shock. He failed in the odi series throughout, as well.   12 days of rest before the test series did not do any good either.   Maybe he wanted 100 days of rest.

That shot played by Kohli is the line of difference between him and Smith.  Smith ,under no circumstances would hv played that shot,. Definitely not in a test match.

Kohli played similar shot to cummins in 1st test, 1st innings (2018). He has habit of playing at wide ball at start of innings.

In test matches...no comparison. Smith is few notches better batsman than Kohli. I am not saying this bcoz of today's innings only.
