Every single bowler is moving the ball. wow. NZ bowling in these conditions >>>>>> Indian bowling.

It's almost like they're used to it or something.  Who would have thunk it?

So people are jumping from Shaw bandwagon to Gill... Wonder for how many days :--D:--DStill remember people saying how Rohit was stealing a spot from once in a gen player like shaw

He is very lucky that he is not playing this series lol Regardless of  how GIll or Shaw do here Rohit's pathetic batting against swing remains the same. He struggles against Deepak Chahar when it swings at the wanhkede. What are the odds he would have survived against 4 bowlers all of them swung the ball.

India in the past competed in swing. They bowled us out for 99. We bowled them out for 94 runs.

What the heck. Pujara is very uncomfortable against Jamison. He can leave the ball on bounce. Why is he fending

He needs to get moving. Just gets caught up in a negative frame in unfamiliar conditions. But he is #3, we can suffer him some more. lol.

I know. Not a fan of Rohit in test as well.. Just pointing out thr fickle nature of people. If gill fails in 2 tests you will see threads of him being over hyped

This is strange and shameful that despite having pool of batting talent India have to depend on Prithvi Shaw for opening who himself have lot of technical error in batting.

Of course it is. It was a very proud moment.

I am just putting the win in perspective. Some posters have suggested that because we beat Australia last time we can do it again, I cannot see it happening with this current team and with Australia's current team. We did catch Australia and the most perfect time to beat them.

That shows that Aus has to be at its very best to beat Ind. It is not Pak that it can be beaten no matter who Aus plays

Players out of form is irrelevant to the discussion, what is being discussed is the players available and the issues that a team is or are facing.

Australia was mentally broken from the scandal in SA, had lost two of their key batsmen as a result and had a temporary captain at the time at the helm.

If the crux is to play the best available resources,  even playing out of form players is giving advantage to the other team. And at times, it could even be perceived with competing with less players

Let me ask you this, do you think India will win the next series v Australia? I was confident last time we would actually win, this time, I think Australia will win at least 2-0 or 3-0.

India will not win the Test championship at Lords. (should they make it).

Aren't strong home teams usually favorites? And in that case, the beauty is in seeing how the visiting team performs. What performances the top billed players put up. If you talk about the series in Aus, it had a very good bowling attack (Starc-Cummins-Hazelwood-Lyon). Beat Ind at Perth. The key difference b/w the two sides was Pujara.  So it was not like Ind did not earn its win. It played good cricket as a team.
