It may not have been made in the lab BUT: - We all know how unhygenic chinese wet markets are and the absoutely disgusting eating habits they have which drives a demand for food items which may be contaminated with viruses. SARS, Swine flu, bird flu all have originated in China - Following this an outbreak can originate there and spread across the chinese population - As china is an economic powerhouse, their population is very mobile in their international travel; students, tourists and business purposes, Therefore more chance of the virus spreading to the rest of the world because western nations are unable to put travel restrictions on them So yes China has a moral obligation to make sure they are doing everythign possible to limit the spread of diseases by not creating the situation in the first place, everything they do has an effect on the rest of the world. The 3000 odd Italians who died had no fault in this did they?

Hygiene and food habits are one thing - but their government response in the 1st 50 days of the outbreak, set the world up for the pandemic. They covered things up instead of raising the alarm. They threatened and bullied other countries that attempted to stop flights and travel to China. These measures directly led to a larger spread, and more deaths. Deaths that were avoidable. Forget, that the viris originated in a China lab or not, They have the blood of 1000s of people died in this pandemic with their censoring and throttling of data.

Big India is probably the largest manufacturer of chloroquine. really good news for India.
