And why do you think we don't have enough data? Any basis for that?

Because asymptomatic carriers are the primary spread vectors for Covid.  And Indian Covid data is hamstrung by the extremely limited testing capacity.

What part of this is difficult to understand?

Rkt bhai has legal obligation to go against the mainstream view just for the sake of it.

Once all these jamati are found and effect of this lockdown takes place, cases will come down even more.

I would dearly love for you to be right about this.

However, there is not enough evidence to back this assertion.  And the risks of it being wrong - we would find out too late if you relax now - due to the 2 week delay, and then the cascade effect would take over, resulting in vast numbers of seriously sick and dying.  And we know that the Indian healthcare system is simply unprepared for that - if Italy and NYC can't keep up...

How long can one stay asymptomatic? Already almost two weeks of lockdown. Even asymptomatic will start showing symptoms in two weeks. Asymptomatic doesn't mean they will always be asymptomatic.  With lockdown, spreading has already slowed down.

India might have done most of things right but without extensive testing  which most important  we are unlikely have any control of virus by April 14  looking at the current situation and   I think we should be locking  at least till end April end and then hopefully we  have  good exit plan

But some people who have COVID19 will be able to go through without any medication and help but they will spread to others, so if person is showing symptoms he may think its normal flu and pass on to his family who might take another 10 days recognize so its a chain  which needs to be stopped if we do extensive testing we will able control sooner end the lock down but without testing much we should give more time make sure thus extending lock down

Testing literally everyone who has been in contact  COV19 , the area he leaves or anybody showing any slight symptoms, Korea and Germany are doing that why their death rates are low as you get people when there asymptomatic decreasing chances spread

In case of Korea they had reasonable control on it they were first major country to do extensive testing and now have been reasonable control even  though with church screw up and their close ties with China and I don't they have been in lock down

Our positive to testing ratio is even less.  3.5 k positive till now after testing 80k people.
