Can you blame women for protesting inclusion of transgenders in their events? Imagine working life long to be a world champ, Olympic gold medalist etc. and that dream being taken away to satiate the toxic PC culture prevalent in today's world!!!

Look at this wrestler who went undefeated in girls division and now doing the same in women's division, Mack Beggs. Securing lucrative sponsorship deals, documentary/movie rights, will probably make cover story of Time soon. What madness!!!

Tomorrow these male runners may want to transition to win some medals and earn $$$$, who's gonna stop them?

The following article does a solid job of framing the issue.  Right now, there are testosterone limits (<10 nmoles/L for >12 months).  But that is not an adequate measure.  It is too early to let trans-women participate as women.  Maybe in 50 years, we will know enough to somehow level the playing field. But with what we know today, it is not the right thing to do:

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2021/jun/22/by-conflating-gender-and-sex-we-undermine-sporting-competition

The American cyclist Veronica Ivy (previously known as Rachel McKinnon) says hang the heartache, trans women are women and should simply be able to self-identify themselves into the women’s category at every level. This argument has got some traction. In which case, why bother having sex categories for sport at all? Just put everyone in together and watch biological males win the lot. I’d argue the opposite. The science is young. Stop. Breathe. Trans women should be able to live their sporting lives to the fullest so if research can find a way for them to participate in female sports without advantage, brilliant. Until then, remove the idea of gender altogether and revert to sex-based categories – a female category and an open category that can cater for trans men who have taken testosterone, trans women and men.

By lowering testosterone will their bone density become comparable to the female athletes. Muscle to fat ratio? Aerobic capacity? What if they transition after hitting male puberty? What if a 7 ft tall Mohd Irfan wants to transition and play for the Pakistani women's team, height is still a huge advantage even with slightly reduced strength/speed.

Neither I nor that article was contradicting what you were saying. Only agreeing with your point, but with some additional context that they were trying some objective measure, which turned out to be inadequate - the whole point of the article was that testosterone numbers were an inadequate measure.  Geez ...

I didn't read the article, tough to do that at 5 am, well past bedtime and with eyes barely open. Will give it a read later today.

Understand what you are saying, good to know you feel the same way as I do.

Letting the winning olympic games aside, are you saying trans whatever is a normal thing?

They identify as women or men, so want to belong to that group.Transgender implies a convert, don't know if they would want to identify solely as a transgender.

Nah that will not be inclusive enough. Trans women are women :hitler:.

Having said that, the ones who identify as men stay away from men's events for mysterious reasons :hmmmm2:.
