Iyer is the weak link. He's not a finisher. Also Williamson won't do much batting at 5. Lack of a finisher/lower order. And only 5 bowling options. If one bowler gets taken to the cleaners/has a bad day they'll have to persist with that bowler throughout.

Maybe this team can win once in a league match. But definitely not beating them in a final.

most of the time iyer was consolidating because of the openers getting out early :dontknow:

he did really well for the chances he got in iT20s .. damn good vs spin and decent vs short stuff .. miles better than pandey & co

Warner(or any) < Kock

KL > Rohit

Mayank = SKY

ABD = Kishan

Samson < Pollard

Buttler > Hardik

Tewatia > Krunal

Archer = Boult

Rabada = Bumrah

Rashid > Chahar

Chakravarthy > NCN

That's 5-2 against MI.

Warner is better than Kock. So is ABD. I don't think Rabada is better than Bumrah. He was taken to the cleaners and thrashed several times, especially in the last half of the season, didn't do anything worthy. Failed in the final as well.

And How come you have 6 ipl foreigners?

Among all the batsmen who have got 400+ runs, we should simply remove the guys who had a strike rate below 130. KL Rahul can be given a leeway as it is 129 S/R and his runs were far more. Also Paddikal as it was his initial season and just 20 years old.

But let's remove

Shreyas Iyer 510 runs, S/R 123

Virat Kohli 466 runs, S/R 122

Shubhman Gill 440 runs, S/R 117

Manish Pandey 425 runs, S/R 127

Rest all who have got 400+ runs can be considered to have a successful IPL season.

In a game where :mi: rested every bowler worth anything. And in a game where :mi: had *NOTHING* at stake, having already qualified first of the table.

Sure, keep harping about that. We'll keep the IPL trophy.

Rajasthan was the only team that decently beat, no thrashed, Mumbai. RCB and KXIP's victories were both fine lines, requiring super and double super overs respectively

And CSK's victory doesn't count since it was the first match of the season, and most of the players hadn't played cricket in month, MI needed time to adjust their team combination.

So RR was the only legit win this season.
