Steyn to Rohit in that 2013 clip: "You've played a handful of Test matches and you've done nothing in your career."

Still stands true in 2020 (only Tests)

Steyn was breathing fire both on & off the field.  He was hostile throughout the tour & even in PC's.  Even ABD was taking a dig at our bowling which was undoubtedly very poor.

Only saving grace was that Jo burg test..  We barely managed to draw that one.  Horrible tour overall

This may sound correct right now since we saw his terrible  overseas performance over the last 7 years. But when Steyn said it, Rohit only played 3 test matches and scored two centuries. Sounds dumb in the context if you ask me

What Ro did to Saffers in 2019 test series, next 3 generations of RSA fans will remember. And can Indian fans stop downplaying our home success, don't have inferiority complex like that loser Manju !!!! While we keep making fun of our players for overseas record, ever bothered to check the SC record of some of these SENA top dogs.

Didn't see arrogant statements from our camp after what we did to them in 2015 and '19 at home.

Absolutely. Rohit struggled in 2018 series in white ball and looked complete bunny of rabada but he came back & scored century against them in worldcup when it mattered most.

When SRT retired at the age of 40 before RSA tour many Saffers make sarcastic remarks about him chickening out and choosing an easy opponent in WI at home for his 200th test landmark. Well Steyn did suffer a strange injury after 2015 1st test, then retired a couple of weeks before '19 India tour just after turning 36, could have added experience in that squad but knew what he was up against. No Indian expert/commie/fan mocked him then, difference in culture/class between us and them.

Perennial chokers in white ball stuff, ran away like scared kittens on a spicy pitch in '18 Jo'burg begging/pleading before umps to call off the test, non-stop whining about pitch/conditions/hotels by HTB Elgar, and B2B merciless hammerings in India across 7 tests. Hope no RSA cricketer/expert raises his voice henceforth when talking about India, shobha nahi deta unko, aukaat....

Rohit has a Sehwag-esque record at home, multiple MOS, 500+ series, daddy 100s...won't say he has done 'nothing' in his career. If away record is the clincher many so called SENA greats have done nothing in their career.

Sure we got crushed in that 2013-14 ODI series. However either side of that, we put them chokers in their place, 2013 CT and 2015 WC, Proteas were pre-tournament favs in both those tourneys yet we hammered them 2x (even Rahane gave them a beating in front of 90k MCG fans LOL) and lost just 1 game (against eventual winners in their backyard) across 2 ICC events.

come on 36 is retirement age for fast bowlers. even batsmen think about retiring at that age. its only desis who want to keep playing forever. I have seen kapil in his last days trundling and struggling to take wickets to cross hadllee's record. In the recent past, I can think of only Mcgrath who played until 37.

I agree on Manju's "insecurities" what an annoying voice to listen to while watching cricket. Makes me cringe. I know SA commentators like Kepler always praising SA cricketers like they have no match

If I have to argue Steyn's case, he did quite well in the previous tours before 2015. Those series were drawn with them drawing first blood. This was in a period where we had the best batting lineup I have ever seen that India has put up.

Sehwag was also great in Sri lanka and Pakistan and pretty good in Australia and west indies. So we can ignore his south africa/england/Nz record and still call him a great batsman. Same for Warner, outside australia, he is great in south africa/uae/bd. Rohit is yet to prove himself like that in at least one overseas country. Hopefully he will have a good series in aus this time

Yeah he isn't ATG like Sehwag or great like Warner, still pretty good. Hope he does well in Aus this time, by God we need someone to take the attack to them.
