When a bowler bowls 2-3 overs on trot on the same spot and you fail to middle a single ball off it then to me it does look embarssing.

yea coz he lost his timing by then. In cricket u will have days like this, if a bowler can miss his mark day in day batsman can miss his timing. In IPL smith missed his timing throughout which is what he said in an interview. 

Ur saying as if this hasnt happened to anyone, this has happened to every power hitter. Bowlers also know what batsman is trying to do yet they get carted whole day long. 

Its simple hitting from ball 1 is quite hard like main batsman n bowler fail so wud hitter but thier game has even added risk. 

 

The maxwell ppl are quoting has a career filled with such many knocks.

Jadeja got balls in the slots (the bowlers were not too focused on him). Jadeja has the highest SR iirc so that applies to all those who batted above him

• Risk taker bhi chahiye safety bhi
• Specialist can fail in their job but these guys who plays high risk cant, no way these guys cant have off days 
• Player safe chahiye chase 400 karna hai 
• guys like iyer cant handle bounce, manish and rahane will struggle against spin but their technique wont give them confidence

then expect 1 batsman plus a genuine tailenders to come in and chase 130 in 10 overs.

 

Hardik is doing ok, spotlight needs to be on the top order still playing last decades cricket.

 

This was absolute flat track, even Smith bashed a century at 150 strike rate.

 

Indian batting is regressing, in IPL most Indian batsmen couldn't hit sixes.

Thing is we need a massive overhaul from Kaptaan coach,TM to mentality

We are content with 100 SR batsmen in MO,

When the trend shows top sides have MO batsmen operating from min 110+ to 160-180rpb

Change in mentality has to happen sooner than later,hire mental conditioning coaches or whatever you need to do

They don't need to change anybody, guys like Pandya needs to become more consistent and score runs when matches are in balance sometimes. Scoring  20 -30 runs of 10-15 balls is not going to win matches. When he has ability to score 100 of 60 balls then we can talk about Pandya being a match winner as a batsman.
