I don't think there is a spot left for a specialist wk.  Hardik is at 6. Rahul at 5 Iyer at 4. Then our Top 3.

No one has grabbed chances.  Sanju is recently being picked in ODIs.  Kishan hasn't even played any Int'l cricket.  They've moved on from Pant. 

T20s should be used for experiment I think.

Yes Iyer has done nothing wrong and should play at no. 4 but posters who think that he is already a permanent member of this side are only looking at positives. 

Yes he is calm under pressure and is a responsible player but what about his game against pace, strokemaking ability and raw talent. 

 

We have so many outrageous talents coming through, why should we be content with a player of limited capability. 

. The opening position has lots of candidates so why not try mayank or shaw at no. 4. Also Pant will make a comeback for sure. 

Shaw is miles ahead of iyer in natural talent

So his place is not yet fixed.

looks like Saini is out of ODI series due to back spasm it seems.. unfortunate. could have been a big series for him.

 

Nattu is added to the ODI squad in place of Saini. Very lucky guy if he debuts in ODIs
