They had their chances, when they had forced the government on its knees by threatening to disrupt the republic day event in which foreign PM is to be attended, and govt has not only agreed to put off this for 1.5 years, but also make many amendments so that the original law itself was metamorphosed into a different law. Alas, these protestors desperately wanted the republic day event..Now Most indians including farmers realise this is not a farmer's movement, and its just a political movement , hence the support is dwindling day by day. Those who are pumping money will also find it difficult to keep sponsoring them. Republic day event where these protestors attacked police and lal quila has reduced any sympathy factor. This is will continue for few weeks and then there will be some compromise as a face saving measures offered by government. Till they start with another agitation mostly privatizing PSUs. Then all labour unions + farmers + CAA activists get together with a new agenda of Ambani and Adani. coffee_rules 1

Urban Punjab is their best bet as it has 63 lakhs Hindu's vs 37 Lakhs Sikhs.

Congress or BJP sometimes it is beneficial to pick the better leader. I know this is just a municipal election but Punjab needs a face, same issue with Bengal. BJP is going after Mithun da UP is won because of a leader like Yogi and even in every other state it is the leader who has a cult like following and stature just like it is at the center.

Otherwise BJP hardly got anything on its own. Advantage congress in LS election but it is a small state like Kerala..

It's also about making impact like BJP did in Hyderabad where they won 43 seats and denting TRS. Urban elections are best bet for BJP to start because Punjabi Hindu's dominate urban area of Punjab .
