Kohli should treat this match as practice session, get some runs under the belt. For India he hasn't got big scores for over a year now, some 20-25 innings, just get some runs to boost your confidence man.

And what will happen with that ? He is going back after the 1st test ,its better if he doesn't play a single test and rather we give the #4 to a particular player for all the 4 tests.

With this match the series is done ,test series he ain't playing so what will these useless runs help him for other than stats boosting

You cannot blame the bowlers. These are flat pitches designed to help the home team..Aussies know fully well India is top heavy team and on flat pitches they will not be able to match their batting. Pitches on last tour magically were helping bowlers as  Aussies stength then was their bowling unit.

They deserve blame when they are conceding 370, 380 and not even threatening to pick wickets. Bumrah, Shami, Saini, Chahal, the only thing they know is bowling, such high scores are unacceptable. Even had they limited the Aussies to 330-340 match would have gone down to the wire.

Bowling is substandard that's all.  Aussie are also a top heavy team.  Labu,  Henriques won't take Aus to 390 everyday.

So which player who is starting out does not have issues. Question is will he overcome those issues.Steve Waugh never had ability to play short pitch bowling well. But he survived, Iyer needs to be given chances at number 4.

He needs to go back to Ranji or First class level and sort out his technical issues. You cannot play International cricket and hope to sort these things out, maybe in 1990s but not in 2020.

We can continue with him as long as we like. And I personally feel nothing is gonna change with this set-up. We did forget NZ tour pretty quickly, didn't we?

We will trash SL/BAN in Asia and again claim to be a great team. Not to mention million dollar contracts in IPL.

Kohli is definitely not the same batsman he was couple of years ago. Why our players starts declining as soon as they reach 30s? Dhoni, Sehwag and now Kohli. Are they hiding real age or what?

Not just players. It is generally the case for the entire Indian population. In teens and till 27-28, they are motivated to do well and give their best. Once, they hit 30, priorities change-marriage, kids, focus on consolidation in whatever they are doing rather than giving best or growing. It is pathetic culture.
