  1. 1. Is Iyer setting himself up to be the next massive fraud in Indian cricket?

Shreyas Iyer - the guy is already so full of himself it's not even funny :canabis:

"I definitely know that they've planned against me," he said, "so I'm really happy. At least they're coming up with a plan against me to get me out. I feel very overwhelmed and take it as a challenge because, you see, I thrive under pressure. And also, it really motivates to go against them. They set attacking fields which really helps me to score runs, so I take advantage of that and I see to it that I make the best use of it."

India's Shreyas Iyer 'overwhelmed' that Australia have devised a strategy for him

He was also the one who gave this weird interview (on TV?) about himself & not getting the chance he deserves, IIRC two years back. Never seen someone with so little street cred & no achievements to speak of tooting his horn so much :cantstop:

He failed upwards at Delhi capitals despite not having a single great season for them. Watch him do the same for india.. he's at right age to takeover captaincy from kohli and Ganguly's DC connection will come in handy

Our young players hardly have any leadership traits in them. Perhaps coaches need to teach these things as well from U14 level.

How can people write off a 25 yo guy who has statistically outperformed Morgan since becoming permanent? Sure he may turn out to become Rayudu 2.0 but let us wait and watch.
