Looks like our batting will be extremely deep with Axar & Sundar both playing & both are lefties. Rahane has a habit of producing one fluke inns when he is under pressure. Except Rohit I see every batsman performing to make sure India scores at least 350. Expecting Rohit to score as well. Look at his earlier overall record at home. Averaged 93 in 2019 and 79 overall at home.

If anything is dangerous it is bouncy pitches that serious potential to cause bodily harm. Not all turning tracks but the absolute worst ones - inconsistent bounce. neel roy Posted February 12, 2021 Author Posted February 12, 2021 Pandya might play. You know if track is rank turner i ll drop Ishant play Pandya any day if he can bowl 10 12 overs in 3 spells. 7-11 Pandya Axar Ashwin Kuldeep Bumrah India did this often when Azhar was captain. Ganguly played as the second pacer and it s crazy he got some wickets. SrinjayDutta 1

He is susceptible to turn and bounce as wells. And if he underscores, who will save them? Sibley Lawrence burns, pope, foakes and ali? All have avg around 30. All of them suddenly will bat better than our vaunted line up in a turner? If that happens, than we deserve to lose. Clarke 1

Toronto and the 2007 cook wicket comes to mind, also eden 2001 1st innings.though condition was different. He sometomes used to complete 10 overs in odis. Clarke 1

They just need cook and kp to ouperformed celebrated indian batting (older side though) lineup on rank turner. If Root and Stokes perform like first series they dont need all their batsmen to perform. Indwin and nitinbwj 1 1

So can Ashwin & Axar & can be far more difficult to handle. Our right handers need to take charge against Moeen & lefties should take care of leach. Once attacked they will crumble. Apart from Root & Stokes I don't think they have good players of spin... Decent though.
Clarke Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 Good spin on offer! Although husbandji went missing and VC is generally a flop, I back us to win this one.
Frustrated Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 All this talk of rank turner etc seems to be more of a rumour. There is really nothing on the pitch. Except one odd ball which turns and puff of dust comes off. We will be in trouble if we don't cross 400 atleast in 1st inning.

There is enough turn and bounce for spinners but Rohit has not let them settle into their rhythm But yes it has not yet broken as much as was expected Clarke and Frustrated 2

Now if you're talking overall substandard pitches yeah I can count a few more, but those pitches don't always turn square & more often are super slow/keep low. Few other that come to mind are Mohali 2015, Bangalore 2017 & possibly this current one's heading that way. Edited February 13, 2021 by R!TTER

Turns all 5 days , stays same . Toss is not important . See current match . In second innings batting well . even if rank turner, u need quality batters and bowlers to play well . Ashwin is now showing what he can do . Moeen is not ashwin - rank turner or not . on a plain pitch , Joe root became a Gavaskar which he clearly isn’t .
