Kohli will not be the same batsman, he's ageing and seems exhausted leading in all formats, he needs to let go Kaptani from lois, he is going the Dhoni way

The Realist Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 So many passengers in the team: Gill, Pujara, Kohli and Rahane Can't expect to score big when half the team is unable to perform

Why do we need the 5th bowler when we have 2 spinners already. Both the last game and this one we are playing an extra bowler who has contributed zilch. agree.Sundat is ok but we need a genuine batsman because this teams ability against spin is shocking.the previous generation would be appalled by their lack of footwork

India should be happy. A lead of 120 may just be enough I think. 120 seems like a long way off we have played 33 overs. 47 overs for new ball and 60 overs for lights to be switched on. On a conservative estimate if we score 3 runs an over and play 55 overs we will get 165 runs ie 265 all out with a lead of 153 and England to bat under lights.
Real McCoy Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 To those whining about umpiring, both those iffy decisions were right. Root was acting like a spoilt child when he took a lot of time to bowl. He shouldn't be complaining about not viewing from other angles or rock and rolling the footage. Yes our third ump acted trigger happy probably a poor umpire but the decisions were right at the end of the day. What was Root's problem. He badgered the on field ump when he wasn't the one making the decision. Nitin Menon took a lot of heat for nothing. feel sorry for him. He was the most accurate umpire in this series. addicted4444 1
Norman Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 Rohit's foot had clearly made contact with the ground by the time bails lit up. Don't know what's the fuss here.

Problem is non-compliance with the DRS protocols properly. A TV umpire cannot be trigger happy. Right or wrong he/she has to follow the defined and agreed steps in its entirety and not rush to make a decision. If an umpire cannot even do so sitting in an AC chamber, he deserves to be sacked Edited February 24, 2021 by ShoonyaSifar

Kohli has lost 11 out of last 13 tosses against England. We surely need to win at least 2 tosses in England. If we lose toss in Oval I am fine we can draw but if we lose toss in Lords, Trentbridge Nottingham and Leeds Headingley we will lose the series.. mark my words..

This is a high pressure, low benefit thankless job.
nitinbwj Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 Root and that joker Stokes have acted like kids whose candy have been taken away from them.Third umpire hasn't taken much time but the decisions are correct. He started playing iffy nervous shots and his defense also got rattled 15-20 mins before close. He was trying to get away from strike and started playing for the day.More often than not, you will lose your wicket doing that. Rohit too was doing the same. Luckily, he survived. We should score at least 150 more from here.

During the day tomorrow he would have definitely piled on a few more runs.

That was not a ball to cut.He survived a dropped chance as well off Anderson few balls ago
neel roy Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 (edited) With pitch getting worse and turning more maximum england could score in 2nd innings is 180. So india just need 100 more runs in this innings. I m sure India can chase down 100 batting last. Not to mention India bat till 9 and India has 2 genuine spinners. England s leach looking difficult to play.. think 3rd innings axar ashwin Edited February 24, 2021 by neel roy
