Pant has drastically improved his keeping since the Aussie test.

Full credit to him. The last 2 pitches have been a keeper’s nightmare and the fact that his keeping has barely been mentioned is testament to how well he has done.

Its all confidence, by leading India to one of its greatest series wins helped a lot.

His last match, he took some brilliant catches.

Both the umpires have been excellent in this match

I also like this 3rd umpire. Once the evidence is there he makes the decision. He doesn’t waste everyone’s time on unnecessary angles, etc.

For example, those English clowns complaining about the umpire not looking at the stump cam on Rohit’s potential stumping.

If the stump cam had shown any indication that his foot was off the ground, the decision would still have been not out because there was enough doubt created by the side on angle would have led to a not out decision.

Need atmanirbhar version of Hawkeye @MechEng.

Not needed. The pitch here was designed through fundings from Reliance and Adani under the project name - 'Atmanirbhar pitch - ball turn yahi hoga'.

I don't think pitch is that bad as batsmen from both sides are making out to be. It just shows Indian players are useless too against spin. Mayank looked competent against spin and then Pujara. I don't trust any other Indian batsmen .

The pitch is unpredictable. It’s not a rank turner. The problem with the pitch is that the ball may spin, stay straight, rise off the pitch, or keep low and it’s not obvious to the batsmen when it will do any of those.

Root is whipping a spinning ball outside off to leg side. Sometimes we just have to appreciate the opponent instead of cribbing that runs are flowing. Be patient
