Rob Key on Sky Sports: "The pitch is not fit for Test cricket"

KP's a grade A arsehole, he never played on such pitches ever with DRS mind you. There's is some truth to the fact that this was a "very very difficult" track but the likes of Brat making it seem like it was very good wicket to bat on or vultures like KP should definitely be ignored. He's just that kind of scum who rises up to the surface leeching on others' leftovers!

India went to Australia. Got rolled over at Adelaide after having the upper hand. Australia prepared a spicy pitch in Melbourne. India didnt complain and won convincingly. India didnt complain about pitch conditions across the tour. And now England comes to India and they start moaning about everything even the colour of crows flying in sky

Theu want pitches where part timers like Curram Curran papad become too hot to handle, they simply can't digest the spinning version of Curram Curran ie Axar wrecking havoc

Lmao they thought their phasssr bowlers can out bowl Indian fast tigers. Indian bowling attack at full strength is the best in the world. Period.

they will want a 5 day test.

NhA first test was ****. Too toss dependant.

Need flatter pitches with help for spin but not too much. Help for reverse swing.

England are lucky no Umesh Shami and Jadeja though.

I think that's why India prepared such turning pitches.

No first test they would not have scored 565, if Axar played. If they had been restricted to 150 less runs whole match changes. India still does not have its full team on the ground but is still expected to win.

True. What was the reasoning behind Nadeem selection ?

U reckon axar alone could have made the difference in the first test? Axar and say Siraj I reckon we would have had them easily. Not axar alone though.

They did outbowl our pacers but sadly for them spinners made the difference.  Ashwin Jaddu & later Sundar easily managed to outbowl Lyon...  That's where the close series was decided.

Axar was injured, yes he would have made the difference.Axar's pace and angle is too hard to handle for right handed batsmen on these wickets.

Only Cummins did. Starc got spanked. Hazelwood was ok.

Our full strength bowling lineup din't even play from test 2 to 4.

We lost because we were gung ho. Gill played a rash shot when he was on song. Didnt mellow down. Pujara was unlucky. If he stayed we wd have got 400 and played one session more. Virat was casual with a cap on trying to smash moeen. Rahane got out to a full toss. Pant played one shot too many. All these on a 70 perc flat deck on day 3. Axar could have got them out for 500 but that would have meant playing one session extra anyways. Its the batting which did not click. Period.

Hazel + Cummins easily had the better average than our every pacer including Boom.  Shami looked average in Pink ball game then got injured.

Starc always get spanked for some reason against us.

Bumrah bowled better in Sydney than his figures show as some catches got dropped.

Starc as well had terrible luck with Catches.

Overall a very close contest that our spinners ensured we clinched.   Lyon & Paine are the culprits for Australia.

Ash & Jaddu Sundar had vital contributions in our series win

If they had scored 400 plus  then whole match changes on its head.Chasing 565 is such a huge pressure, you are playing for draw from the moment you bat first ball . Gill will continue to play those shots, Pant is not going to change the way he bats,.

This team's strength is their bowling both home and away. Batting just have to keep them in the matches.First test bowling failed so team lost.

Axar was injured, so Nadeem was picked as a like for like replacement. Nadeem had actually done decently well in one match for India a while ago, so nobody thought he would turn out to be a dud of epic proportions.

Our pacers had to bowl during the flattest period in the first test.

Apart from Anderson's spell on the last day in T1, I think our pacers were better overall.

The Aussies even tried to intimidate our players with can't wait to get you to Gabba chatter. Imagine our players saying "can't wait to see you sweating buckets on the dust fields of Motera"!
