As per performance given by our cricket team in current test series, it is seen that Indian player are well prepared for this match, specially in bowler spinner are doing very well.

I really don't know , it's like 2 months ago we will do this that and that and turn up for Indian series but not care if we win, lose or draw it .

The annoying thing as a neutral spectator is that if England had full squad to pick from this series could have been one of the great series . Then again even if full squad I don't think this TM can pick right team for conditions . I personally would have played Moin Ali in all four tests and bat 6 with buttler 7 but that doesn't solve problem 1,2,3 whoever they pick are rubbish except on flat tracks .

Exactly , history books will show India won series 3-1 no mention of but England sent players home

But a few folks think a lead of 150 is needed , means they also think England is capable of scoring 250 here. 

150 lead will mean match is out of reach of England. cause scoring 350 in second inning is a bit of a stretch but 270 280 doable.. it gets into tricky zone for team batting last.

Abso*inglutely. Rahane is done in India. He can't play spin. 

 

Kohli is done vs spin. 

 

Imagine how much stronger India would be in India with Rahul, Mayank and someone like even pandya.

There are some balls that stayed so low, like the one got Pujara, also Sundar managed to block a few low ones. Eng will have fun chasing 100+ here.

Going to bowl the doosra here, the one that goes the other way, with this comment.

 

Think of Pant coming in after a better 3,4,5 than we currently have, I think he will be an even better player, when Pujara, Kohli and Rahane leave the team.

 

Imagine a powerful lineup with players 3,4,5 demoralizing the batsmen all day and the bowlers are tired and exhausted, then followed by Pant?

 

We havent yet seen just how powerful and destructive smarty Pant can be. It will happen.

he is just angry and emotional given how our middle order collapsed to nothing balls. I totally understand his frustration. i was so annoyed too. I am normally calm but even i had enough of kohli rahane and to a lesser extent puji. 

 

puji has a valid excuse given he must be tired from australia tour. so he is excused. ideally should have been rested but whatever. 

 

kohli and rahane though were appalling to say the least. No excuses whatsoever for their performances. Very disappointed. Yeah kohli was a great player but right now he is in very poor form. Smith in his worst form still plays well. Thats the difference.

Kohli is so out of form, that even a solid 30 runs if offered before he bats, I would be happy and would take that bird in the hand if given a choice.

 

He lacks the discipline to leave balls alone outside off stump.

Ironically, our "oldest" specialist batsman is the only one batting well while the other seniors are so woefully out of form, they look like tail enders. I don't remember a time where pretty much our whole specialist batting line up was guaranteedly AWOL. Hope Washie and Axeman build us a sizeable enough lead for an innings win because this AWOL lineup inspires no confidence for a 4th innings chase.

Thats the biggest problem.

 

I dont expect players to always do well, but this batting unit is generally failing every time had it not been for Hitman and or Pant.

 

You cannot win consistently games of Test cricket with just two batsmen. Its the only reason why Kohli's failures are being masked. He has Hitman and Pant contributing big time to the scores. If England managed to get Hitman and Pant out cheaply in any innings, the batting lineup just rolls over and dies.

Dont get me started on the bowlers, Ishant should not have been in this team either for this game on this pitch.

Is that just for certain areas of India?
