All 4 are different players:

Sundar: u-19 prodigy with unlimited batting potential stumbles upon his bowling talent. Ends up as one of the most promising middle order young batting talents in the world in tests and a bowler in T20’s who is one of the most economical bowlers in the world. Power hitting status: unknown but sure he can manage a 6 or 2 in the last 1-2 overs of a T20.

Jadeja: one of the best spinners in the world and in the last 2 years probably one of the finest 3 format allrounders in the world.

Axar: Doemstic veteran now and a support spinner in LoI formats for the last 4-5 years. Now a premier top 3 spinner in test for India. Not exactly a batsman but a tailender/ lower middle order bat who can tonk a couple of 6’s at the end.

Krunal: a perfect modern day mercenary cricketer who can do a little bit of this and little bit of that and can win you the odd game with bat. His bowling is very accurate but not exactly a standout. His batting is not 7-8 but more like 5-6. However is it good enough to push him ahead of other 5-6 bat, you be the judge.

Tewatiya: 2 innings in the IPL is all that took? Yes he had miraculous knocks. Even in those knocks there was a lot of mediocrity too for the most part. What are his long term credentials?

I see a few people here get carried away with juzbaa junoon. They don’t rate guys with a great work ethic like Sundar,Thakur or even Jaiswal based on his IPL performance when a guy like Jaiswal can be built on the sundar model. A guy whose leg spin in underrated should he fast tracked while his prodigy level batting can be developed. That should be the vision instead of getting in every hack who has a day in the sun in IPL.

this makes no sense to the context of the post ...absolute no sense . Read the title again

Fine. If you want to be specific

None of these guys are Russells or Pollards in build. They all rely on timing more or less but

In terms of blind crazy slogging

Axar

Tewatiya

Krunal

Jadeja

Sundar

In terms of ability against the best quality attacks to be able to connect

Jadeja

Sundar

Axar/Krunal

Tewatiya

In terms of whom I enjoy watching bat from a cricketing perspective

Sundar (very elegant. Reminds  me of Stephen Fleming/Saeed Anwar type batting)

Axar (Believe  it or not I love his cowlashing)

Jadeja (even in his best innings looks like a tailender 70% of the time)

Krunal (Hack!!!)

Tewatiya( Fluke)

Overall

Jadeja

Sundar

Axar

Krunal

Tewatiya

May be the answer can be none among all. Just go for thakur and play 2 spinner - chahar n ashwin

Thakur appears to a bit like Agarkar w/ the bat so more suited for #8-9 (unless in good form)

We won the world cup with munaf *ing Patel, old washed up injury prone Zaheer Khan.

Washed up old sachhu etc.

I am sure we can win with the current beast like bowling attack if we pick the right squad ofcourse. For that we cant havE a pannauti at the helm like kullu.

They all are one trick ponies. None of them genuine match winners.

We are a mediocre LOI side and that is the fact. The earlier we understand this, the better it will be. Our players aren't too bothered with World Tournaments win either, they will entertain fans and earn millions in IPL. That's what they will do all life.
