sage Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 (edited) Before this match I would have said a conservative +10/15 runs but I think its clear that having Rohit as your captain, leading your side, marshalling the men, instilling confidence in the players allowing them to play at 120%, and using his Chanakya tactical nous is worth at least +30 runs. Test is a longer format so kohli gets enough chances to captalize on opposition mistakes but LOI doesnt come with that many chances. Thats why if a side is calm they ll pounce on any given opportunity on most days. A side that panics have already lost the game in its head.

sorak Posted April 13, 2021 Posted April 13, 2021 Rohit at most shows displeasure or disappointment at times, but I feel the bigger difference is he rarely mouths off gaalis when something happens in a pressure situations. Another thing - after a hard earned wicket, Rohit doesn't get too excited and hysterical, which Kohli does, which can alter the concentration of the bowler or worse make him complacent. AuxiliA 1

Aisa kya use kiya Rohit ne Boult ka, please do tell. He is a world class new ball bowler so every captain will use him for opening the bowling and then 2 overs left which you can use as per your convenience.
