Wankhade wud be a good test for siraj - their is a bit of help avl in intial overs  which even dhoni pointed out. He shud use it

Siraj is proven as a lethal bowler, able to bowl at 140+, along with swing ... It is more form going in to major event

No he isnt proven in white ball . U gotta do it for a considerable period of time to be called proven. 

 

At this point he is just proven in red ball domestic . In test matches he did really well and i have no doubt that he ll continue to but for the word proven u need to do it for a considerable period of time.

Siraj is proven in terms of his skills which include the ability to bowl at 140+, control his line and length, and swing the ball. For e.g., Natrajan has proven ability to bowl yorkers (based on relatively limited games he has played), etc. ... There are no doubts here

White ball skills also include variation and all above execution. 

 

Natrajan yorker is proven coz he did consistently last whole ipl game after game. One season isnt limited games atleast. But TBH he also needs to do for a few more. With guys like bumrah u use word proven 

 

Let siraj atleast perform well for one whole IPL. Siraj white ball game is far from proven and one good season wud be a start of it.

If Siraj is playing, he is there to swing the new ball. If Natarajan is playing, he is mainly there to bowl at the death. These are among the best Indian bowlers available.

Bumrah and Siraj have played most of their games in Chennai which has been a low scoring pitch mainly.

Lets see how they fare in Mumbai or a regular IPL ground.

 

Bumrah we know has proven himself on multiple occasions. About Siraj we will soon find out.

I remember Shami last played a T20 in Australia & got thrashed &here in IPl too so I am not sure he should be ahead of likes of Siraj.  But let's watch how Siraj goes about In this IPl. 

Deepak Chahar will be in the squad though.  Bhuvi as well.

Shami has always been average in T20 cricket.

Has bowled some vicious bouncers.

The wkts of Buttler and Miller probably saved 50 runs

Siraj defended 14 runs off the last over v DC which had Pant & Hetmyer batting with 50s and had some benefit of dew

Natrajan if he can improve his pace slightly then he will be a superstar.
