Changing overseas combo ??

Warner + bairstrow+ williamson+ rashid.....are they planning to drop Warner ?

They probably want Holder at 6 because of the collapses of their middle order Indian batsman.

Who knows they might be reading your post and open with Abhishek and Bairstow in next game and Williamson can bat at 3 with Holder coming in at 6 and Rashid at 8?

ill still not drop Warner....he has been slow but mostly coz of this side. Warner isnt same batsman but still very good at IPL .

Reason to drop is their seems to be a rift between TM n Warner

Warner, Smith, Kohli....all are useless in T20s now. Frankly, even Williamson isn't a good t20 batsman, but he is a damn good captain of an int'l team that more often than not punches above their weight.

Williamson is currently better than these three..  He has few more shots like scoop,  & reverse sweeps along with conventional slog sweep.  So he may not be explosive but much better player to have who will keep scoreboard moving.

So Roy coming in for Warner?

5 consecutive seasons of 500+ runs, monstrous performances, a below average start this year and he's been fired! Ruthless IPL

bench him for all games but do not release him

rule of IPL- you dont leave players that can make other teams super strong. Gambhir once gave example of KKR releasing SKY and now regretting it.

If any team gets hand on warner.... SRH will regret big time. Imagine MI getting David warner :afraid:

He wouldn't take kindly to being sacked mid-season. Only thing that might keep him at SRH is his loyalty for how they had supported him during the sandpaper ban.

If he does go to the auctions, he can become the highest paid IPL player. Will fit nicely at CSK with Dhoni and Faf most likely gone next year. Even KKR may need someone in place of Morgan who is likely to retire after this T20 WC

Warner is a brilliant IPL batsman no doubt at all. But I think what they need is Jason Holder's experience to finish games at no.6 and he can hit big sixes too. Their Indian middle order core has been their weakness.

Bairstow is a keeper bat and a destructive opener so can't be dropped. Kane's over-reliance is there in M.O and Rashid is their best bowler. So, they may drop Warner for Holder.

No. I think they will play an Indian opener and have Holder at no.6.

i understand that but reason seems to be rift.

Warner is the best IPL batsman not just brilliant ......him and rashid shud be the 1st names . Their middle order problems is simply becoz they didnt pick well and now playing those guys in wrong spot.

Dropping Warner will be a dumb move.

The only positive thing that can happen with this move is David Warner trying to cement his spot yet again with some good performances, now if you remove Warner, what's the whole point then
