This would have been ordered by top leadeship of LTTE, those involved only provided logistical support or ground in execution of plan or following orders. How many times we see, planners/logistics of a LeT attack or other similar attacks get hanged. I think they should be freed now.

You can't simply take Indian lives and expect to be pardoned. Not just Rajiv, think of the dozens of families affected that day due to the bombing.
