Every other country he has wiped them out. So if he doesn't perform against Australia he's a minnow basher? All countries except Australia were minnows to you then? Only Test cricket I am referring to. Dint do well vs India or Australia. He wiped out the rest? England was utter trash in 90s. Kiwis were average. Who else? Lanka? Ok He did well in s.africa iirc. Will give him that. Good bowler but not great to me.

And if you performed against them all in the 90s you are a certified minnow basher. Amazing. You also forgot the West Indies where he averages 23. Kyle Jamieson for his recent first 50 wickets is being ga ga'd about but Waqar's first 231 wickets (test) and 273 wickets (odis) BOTH at 21 average is being told as minnow bashing. great chat mate. Jamieson is no where near Waqar. He is just thriving in helpful conditions. Waqar did f all vs his arch rival and australia. Sorry not good enough. That's why I don't rate Pollock either. He was beyond abysmal vs australia. The only team that could challenge south africa away. I dont recall anyone every talking about how Waqar dominated a quality batsman. Yea maybe fodders like Atherton and co perhaps. He never dominated quality batsmen. He is just lucky he had a good peak at a time where most batsmen were either washed up, declining or too raw. This was until 1992. He averaged 17 odd since debut till 1993. 4 years in total. Post 1994 he was averaging 28-29.

Yes but coincidentally he also faced better batsmen post 1994. I would have loved to see his best version play post 1994. Bumrah is experiencing something similar right now. Post back injury. Let's see how bumrah recovers. Waqar is very good but I have a problem when people call him a great. Performance against top side and rivals matter.

His attitude is poor. When he fixes his mental issues, he will be back to his best. Otherwise he can quit. We have siraj, prasidh coming through. He is a good bowler in long format. I won't lable him as a champion bowler yet when he has distance to cover. ODI/T20 - He is a champion bowler.
Sandeep99 Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Bombrah is saving it for the IPL 2021 final against CSK. Who cares about these inconsequential matches.
express bowling Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Bumrah has bowled with good accuracy today. Has got good zip and bounce off the deck too ... hurried batters and the ball was flying through to Pant. Looked in good rhythm. Hit speeds of 88 mph to 90 mph regularly. Mosher 1

And he has performed every bit to get a long rope . It's a shame that Kohli did not play the bowler most suited to the conditions and who is on the best form. Stop making Siraj into something he is not, he is not better than any of three fast bowlers playing in his match as of now.Team selection was spot on nothing wrong with team selection either. RajBan Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 Lol. Siraj's performance speak for himself. You or me don't need to amplify or belittle it.
RajBan Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 7 minutes ago, sarchasm said: And Bumrah's performances, who has done it for longer and better, do not? Siraj has been unlucky to miss out and I would prefer him over Shami but your stupid comparisons with Bumrah isn't the way to go about it. Nobody is denying what Bumrah has accomplished. But he has been off colour off late and even in this match. That's not to say Siraj ousts Bumrah but on form Siraj is ahead. Think about it , do we really need two spinners in the conditions? Would Siraj have been more impactful instead of one of the spinners? I can understand we playing 2-3 spinners in subcontinent but shouldn't there be horses for courses in a English pitch where there is tons of rain predicted . Vijy 1
maniac Posted June 22, 2021 Author Posted June 22, 2021 Bumrah’s role should be the enforcer and Shami should be the guy attacking with new ball. Roles need to be reversed.

sandsaims Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Bumrah needs to know he isnt indisposible, drop him for a couple of games.
Cricketics Posted June 23, 2021 Posted June 23, 2021 Not worried about Bumrah. He will be fine. He came off without match practice and same is true with most bowlers. When not much runs are on board, bowlers in particilar fast bowlers will try hard. Bumrah will be fine. Captaincy and batting is what needs to be fixed. Don’t blame bowlers when bowlers are just given 149 to defend. They surely will try hard to defend and in search of wickets would end up leaking runs as their spells will be much shorter. Knee jerk reaction should be against batting. It was toothless. express bowling 1

Jay Posted June 24, 2021 Posted June 24, 2021 19 minutes ago, Baji-Rao said: oh please. Few months back Kohli the captain was being praised among one of the greatest captains in history and the best captain for India history in Test. And now whatever fits? Bumrah is crap. All he has economy control but no ability to pick up wickets on demand, which is an essential to a bowler. He isnt declining you're seeing his true face after statpadded on minnow nations. Go look on statsguru yourself on both formats. Hopefully humbles you that Bumrah isn't the answer.... no sane fan ever praised that dunderhead except kohli fanboys. go see for yourself. no one from ICF apart form his equally dumb fanboys wanted him as captain. he got praised? praised by who? some leeching sycophants. please... bumrah is a generational talent. one bad game doesnt mean squat. he may be a bottler but he will find his groove again. Post back injury he has struggled but his pace is still good. unless he is affected by the money and fame now that he is rich, i dont see him going anywhere. form is temporary. class is permanent. we just need to get rid of the poison in our team. pujara, kohli as captain(he can play as batsman if his ego lets him). siraj may takeover ishant. we need hungry boys. dont need rich primadonnas.
