express bowling Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 The Indian cricket fraternity love mediocrity. Mosher, Suhaan and Vijy 3
Lord Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Ishant is not even running in well and looks unfit/injured. Should at best be SENA specialist now. In India his record is average anyway.Worth trying a youngster instead.

afan Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 100 Test and 300 wickets is called Under Performance by any stretch of imagination. The only credit that goes in his favor is longevity. As someone mentioned it, Mediocrity cannot be justified just because someone has survived for that long The writing was on the wall long time ago, its just that someone has mis-read it so far Lord, Vijy and express bowling 3

cowboysfan Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 if siraj was playing we would have a 150 run lead,Dravid has dissapointed me so far in making the right choices and he continues Shastris seniority first nonsense, express bowling and Vijy 2
Frustrated Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 It seems Siraj has not fully recovered from the injury he suffered during T20 series. Otherwise Ishant would not hv played.
Jay Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 Fast bowling is simply brutal. Got to be strong, durable, have cardio/endurance, be able to sustain speeds for long periods. Not only do they train to bowl consistently. They have to find the time to add I weight training into their schedule to strengthen their muscles and ligaments. Only the toughest can survive. Truly a work of art. One of the hardest and most gruelling job in sports. The sheer amount of stress you place on your back and feet is immense. Nothing but respect to fast bowlers. Not for the faint hearted fodders. Ishant was a great servant from 2015-2019. He is close to being finished if he isn't already.

Has missed a lot of series as well as matches. We need to replace him with Siraj in the 5 test series in England. Prasidh and Avesh need to be tried against weaker teams. ishant is probably 6.6 ft tall and when he is fit , he can easily bowl 140 K continuously. but now we are seeing him bowling 126k to 139K and many a times under 130K...his line and length has been probably the best he has ever bowled and that's why he is getting some wickets. but he has slowed down considerably and now it makes sense that he should let avesh and prasidh play ahead of him. delhi devils selected avesh ahead of him and Umesh and probably Indian selectors need to notice this as well.

Vijy Posted November 29, 2021 Posted November 29, 2021 Ishant needs to be booted out quickly. He did fine service during his peak years, but it's time to move on
