The best way to deal with pressure is just stick to basics and play your game and not let extra pressure of the knock out get to you before you enter the field. We should stick to Dhoni mantra not Kohli mantra.

Tai Tzu reminds me of a badminton version of Shapovalov instead of a Federer. Which is why Federer is probably the GOAT, his playing style is extremely difficult to be consistent and achieve results at tournaments with that playing style, a high level isn't sustainable with a natural , attacking playing style with flair etc. Guys like Shapovalov, Dimitrov, Fognini, Verdasco are all attacking shotmakers who choke and are erratic with UE.

I'm assuming similarly with Tai Tzu, a great talent, but not consistent and able to sustain a high level.

Tai Tzu is capable of shots which no other female badminton player in history can comprehend, she also invents new shots every now and then.

Tai has spent more time at #1 than any other female player since rankings were introduced (equivalent is Djokovic), dominated the equivalent of Masters 1000, World Tour Finals, All England Open, dominant H2H against almost all elite players (few negative ones against players when she just started). Badminton season is structure differently, no equivalent of Grand Slam tournaments. Inconsistency? She failed in a couple of Olympics and World Championships. Shapovalov, seriously?

Anyway I never said she is the greatest, said she is the most talented with highest level ever, when she is switched on.

I don't think you can declare someone as GOAT just because of his/her playing style. Results, resume, strength of field etc. decide who is GOAT. Your definition of GOAT is biased towards attackers. Fed chooses to be attacking because there are other components of his game which can't help him hang with the best, so he compensates. Like Kasparov in his playing days, or Mike Tyson, or the Aussie style of playing cricket/hockey, because they aren't that good at attritional stuff. Federer can be called most talented, most entertaining, but playing style has nothing to do with being GOAT. Objective in sports is to achieve certain results, nowhere is it written that you must follow a particular path or style to get your wins.

i think we have a mental block vs aussies in hockey. we are so much better vs belgium and nedtherlands. infact we give belgium hell. We are always a tough matchup for the dutch. Its aussies and to a lesser extent germany that we struggle with for some reason.

Same in cricket. we have a bad mental block vs kiwis for some god damn reason away from home. At home we will obviously butcher them.

We need to find another Ravi Shastri for hockey to face Australia :phehe:

GOAT is a media conjured up term and it is for a reason. There always exists a form of hero worship in sports. Even though padosis make fun of Indians worshiping Sachin, they also worship Imran for the same reason, not in the same way but it happens. When you are worshiping a sports icon and the term GOAT is added to it, it means you are indulging in GOAT worship which means the following beast

Satan | Satanists | Satanism | Baphomet | MetroactiveSo whenever some fan says some player is GOAT, they may be saying due to their own ignorance. But the elites operate on a different scale. They know by making you say that term over and over again, it makes you less devoted to God thereby making you less human. They are the ones that make you watch sports and become addicted to it. In Roman times, it was called "bread and circus" which meant even if the leaders are corrupt and are treating the populace badly, they will cover it up with some sports and food to make you happy for a day and forget the troubles of the world. But you are back to square one on monday.

what do you mean not in the same way? Only part I disagree with

Calling Sachin a god is just a metaphor. Not that anyone worships him in a religious context. I am sure some idiots exist somewhere no different from the guy who commits suicide when his favorite hero films flops or india loses a cricket match.

In fact no one would for Sachin in elections and he was made fun of for his political stint.

We tend to underrate Sachin’s cricket acumen on the flip side calling him a poor captain etc even though he was one of the brains for India’s rise as cricketing power post 2000’s where as Padosis still preddle Imran Khan’s mountain men/Pathans being red meat eating phaaasht bowlers and Inzamam being the greatest match winner to walk on planet eart and the greatest player of fast bowling.

Not even a contest.

Overall yes we do have a lot of naive gullible idiots on our side but it’s not even a close contest.

india drew with belgium in 2018 in the champions trophy in Berda Netherlands

we also drew with them in the hockey world cup in 2018

So head to head in recent times its not been that bad.

10 years ago we would have killed to face Belgium in Semi Finals of Olympics. Its funny how times and teams change. We are confident of beating Germany, Netherlands, have beaten Spain,Argentina, Great Britain but  Belgium is the gun team now..

I guess aps tomar the 20 year old is ranked number 2 in the 50m three positions and compatriot 40 year old is ranked 6th

But given our shooting form i will keep very low expectations...qualifying for final will be big thing.

Not in the same way as in they don't call him god but worship Imran all the same. Basically, if you point out to Sachin/Imran fans that they are in some way not that good, it evokes a negative response from them. Its not just desis, even goreys are also included in it. See Ronaldo/Messi/Federer/Nadal/Djokovic/Jordan/Kobe/Lebron/Brady/Montana. I could go on and on. We are living in a global world and everyone can be deceived even the ones who are smart. The media and its handlers are way more smarter than any smart pleb. They invented these sports and marketing of the icons.

Don't they use this in rock music as well with hand horn.

Yup. Infact, even world leaders from all countries and hollywood celebs use it.

absolute schizophrenic post. unless you are a devout catholic preacher, goat is just another farm animal to you. Even in original Bible, devil doesn't have horns or goat like features, those are all added in the middle ages to demonize the pagans and their culture in Europe. Better layoff 4chan for a while if you sincerely believe this nonsense
