This will be a difficult pill to swallow for me, much like our hockey results. Aditi was so good, so clutch, just a matter of millimeters in the end. How she punched above her weight for 4 consecutive days, against the world's elite. Korda is world number one, the Kiwi golfer former number one, Japanese had home advantage, probably very familiar with this course.

But top 3 well and truly deserve their medals. Can't say the same about some of the hockey teams that finished above us :wall:

Don't know much about this sport but a 200th ranked player shouldn't really play like this, day after day. Aditi is just 23, from a country with no real golf/sports culture, hope to see her rise up the rankings in coming years. Golf is super fun especially when Indians are playing lol.

Aditi didn't lose though. The others outplayed her. She didn't have a huge day like the others... Super consistent. Unfortunately the others had better clutch days. The American was very lucky to keep her gold with a -2 on the last two days. Aditi def has to improve on her power game though. If she does she can easily be top 10.

The golf commenters were in awe of her short game. She just need work on her long game. She's just 23 and can become a serious big tournament contender in future.

We/our sportsmen are cursed with bad luck :(( ..kaha kaha se log aakey last moment they fu@ck us

it's not choking, others are just a little bit better than us which makes it look like that. It's okay though, we should hopefully make that jump sooner rather than later.

We missed three medals by whisker this Olympics.

- Deepak Poonia losing Bronze in last 10 seconds
- Woman Hockey team losing bronze in last quater
- Aditi narrowly missing medal finishing 4th

We missed two medals in shooting 10 m air pistol
- Saurabh Chahudhary was 1st in Qualification round, choked in final
- Sahurabh Chahudhary & Manu Bhaskar were 1st in Qualification but choked in final round

We already have 5 medals with 2 more potential medals later on.

- Bajrang Bronze medal match

- Neeraj Chopra Javelin Final

Overall, a decent olympic performance after a shocker in Rio.

to give a cricket example.

adelaide 1st test 2014 - there was a moment when we were in the game but australia were just better and came through.

in the opposite side

4th test ahmedabad - there was a time when england looked to be in the ascendancy when pant came on but ultimately we powered through.

Haha true. Olympics are the best way to grow women's sports. All medals, male or female, count the same.

Currently not many give a rat's ass about women's cricket. But everybody will be watching frantically when it gets into Olympics and medals are on the line.
