England is lucky in that way to have bowlers with different skill who can bat but thats not the case with us - Burmrah, Siraj, Kuldeep, Varun.C, Nattu, Shami all brings a different edge to bowling but nothing to the batting. Gopal who 2 yrs ago had the potential to fill this role has declined in his 1st role- bowling itself As of now these are our only bowlers who are decent with bat Thakur Ashwin Deepak Chahar Bhuvi Saini is not that bad but his bowling form has gone , Dont think prasidh or avesh adds much with batting. Rahul chahar has potential but at this point his batting is as good or less then kuldeep

Jaddu n Krunal or even axar n sundar will bat at 7 not in bottom 4 so they dont even fall in same category express bowling 1
Lord Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 if you are including Thakur,include Sundar,Goutham,Harshal as well I think atleast our spinners need to be able to bat. If you can't bat and field,you need to be reliable bowler like Bumrah

Thakur is not a trundler either... bowls nasty short balls & his aggression is needed. With the bat we know what he can do. Chahar over Bhuvi I think. Dude with all due respect for Thakur, his short balls will be good length and fast balls with be fast medium can't help it, he is a very good option for India though.
