R!TTER Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 So assuming Brat wins a test or two in Eng, but still loses the series, he'll likely be fixed into test captaincy for the next 2-4 years at least - where do you see a point of no return from which he can't recover & will have to resign or be booted out completely from the team? In simpler words - how much is enough to kick Brat out, as a captain or even player?
Nikola Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 He will be removed only if he looses next 2 t20 worldcup and odi worldcup in 2023.
Lone Wolf Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Best case scenario for RAT's immediate exit... Test series loss 4-0 or 5-0 & next month T20 WC humiliation. He ain't surviving two back to back... Lucky for us there isn't a Paytm Lanka or West Indies series in between. Shock would be constant. RAT would need a otherworldly PR to survive such a nexus event. Nash 1

rageaddict Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 I don't see him surviving after the 2023 WC Loss. Could even retire after that and play a couple of IPL seasons for fun.
CodeOfWisden Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Id he loses the test series 4-1 he will lose the captaincy for sure and if he loses t20 world cup he will surely be removed from loi captaincy. Enough is enough.
CodeOfWisden Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Also an Ipl loss coupled with t20 world cup loss will surely help I am happy to lose a t20 world cup to Get rid of Kohli as captain but yeah I can't risk a 4-1 test series loss for sure.
Lord Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 He;ll stay till atleast 2023.With the trend of home teams winning WC of late,we have a good chance If we lose that he'll play on as a batsman
cricketfan28 Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 t20 loss with poor performance , he will probably step down and some else will take over in t20. Nash 1
sage Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 rat will stay with a semi-final/final result in t20. only a 2007 (ODI) style result could dislodge him from captaincy Nash 1

Gollum Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Won't lose test captaincy no matter what. ODI will stay till 2023 WC lol. T20 may give up himself after this year's expected KO loss and his PR machine will make him second coming of Bhishma Pitamah for putting team's cause above his own. Lord 1
Gollum Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Only disaster in 2023 WC can make BCCI proactive. Otherwise brat will always call the shots. Even if he loses T20I captaincy later this year he will still be in control in the larger scheme of things, may work a deal with BCCI behind the scenes to keep him at the top of the food chain. In simpler words - how much is enough to kick Brat out, as a captain or even player? Series loss with no wins plus failure to cross single digits for the entire series. Only the most wretched, hopeless loss of batting form will lead to questioning of his role in the team. If he makes a century or even a couple of 50s for a sub 35 average, his place will be safe.
dilliboy Posted July 26, 2021 Posted July 26, 2021 He is bigger than BCCI right now... Will need a 5-0 whitewash and a group stage exit at the t20 wc to even contemplate. Even that might not be enough
