ICF’s wt20 squad for India

Okay guys, as ICFers let’s put our collective intelligence to use and pick a team of 11 for the t20 WC  The rules are that each voter has to vote for 11 players each, with at least 3 votes in each of the first 2 categories and at least one in the keepers category. After the deadline, we’ll make the final 11 consisting of players with the most votes. Go ahead and cast your vote!! Let’s see what team we ICFers come up with!

Most of the guys, who will ultimately be part of the squad, are pretty much regulars.

 

Among the newer players I thing Siraj is a must ... as he is bowling cracking yorkers, one after the other, at the end and managing to defend totals in the end overs too.

 

Plus Siraj can move the ball both ways with the new ball.

Yup Perfect bowler to bowl 2 upfront and 2 at the death. If he can improve his batting a little bit would help greatly, I mean he certainly has the potential

I would not pick Dhawan In T20Is. Ultimately, he ends up playing at a low SR in international T20 matches.

 

Iyer maybe picked ahead of Kishan ... but the high SR approach of Kishan interests me more from a modern T20 perspective.

 

Kishsn / Iyer kind of fringe picks will ultimately be decided after IPL 2021 ends.

Only one of Thakur or D.Chahar should be in the final 11. Otherwise the bowling becomes too similar for the opposition.

Chahar & Thakur are both different bowlers, I don't see any similarity there. Siraj is a wonderful bowler, keep him in the reserves.

Anyways if there is toss up between Shardul or Deepak Chahar, Chahar ahead of him.
