the total contingent allowed is 30 including support staff.Teams can play with this. Heard this in one of the matches

Teams should be allowed maximum number of players as possible. Don't want the WT20 to go through the T20 series against SL debacle.

Team can pick max 22 players in a total of max 30 members including support staff.

 

Guess most team will pick 20 players+ support staff.

It's a good squad but I'd add one batsman in Iyer probably & move Varun C to reserves.

I would also add Thakur to the squad. Deepak/Bhuvi/Nattu need to be really good with new ball in group games to retain their spots for knockouts. If they are mediocre, might as well add another batting option against England and WI

Iyer will not be served with spinners,even a medium pacer like CDG will bounce him out,he has a glaring weakness against that length+ has SR issue which is most important aspect of t20 cricket

Rohit,Dhawan,Kohli,Kl,Iyer is a rudaali lineup not a batting lineup

I don't think he'll have too many issues against the shorter ball on UAE wickets. His batting is perfectly suited for those conditions. A bit like Shoiab Malik who couldn't play quality pace to save his life but still used to plunder runs for fun in the UAE because of his spin playing abilities. Horses for courses.. 

 

 

And no.. I'm not advocating for that top order. Dhawan shouldn't even be in the squad let alone the playing XI. Rahul-Rohit-SKY-Kohli-Iyer is my preferred one.
