From back in the day: I had a collection of Amar Chitra Kathas. Neatly bound in the order they were released and everything. I loved Bahadur, too! And Tinkle as well. As a kid used to have a daily/weekly(?) Subscription. Veg puff and a new comic.. Bliss!!! Mandrake Bahadur Inspector Azad, Vikram Shuja professor and Dabu (in Kannada ) was a knock off of Tintin Majnu - a laugh riot in Kannada again Chandamama and Wisdom were school favs And finally ACK, Anant Pai deserves a Bharat Ratna, without the knowledge gained by these comics based on historical chars.
