nevada Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Then what is Vikram Rathore doing? The person who Kohli should call is the chairman of selectors - to inform him about a break from cricket. sorak and Mosher 2

Before that last series his career average was 65 in england and it was his favorite place. Even then he ended up with a career average of 54 in england. Kohli currently averages 32 in England. Tbh, england bowling was nothing special when Tendulkar played most of their cricket in England. 2011 was prime Anderson first time he faced. 2007 Anderson was raw. Current Anderson is probably the best swing bowler cricket has ever seen. The kind of control he has in these conditions is absolutely out of the world. Edited August 27, 2021 by rkt.india

Steyn at his terrifying Peak &, Morkel as well. Sachin was 35+ while facing these attacks. Chokli isn't fit to tie his shoe laces even. His superior bats & technology & analysts & fitness can never replace raw natural talent & flair of SRT. Chokli is nothing more but Gareebon ka VVS atm. When Sachin faced prime Anderson and broad, he too failed in 2011.

He would smash those in his prime.. 2011 wasn't his prime. He was actually 35+.. No matter who you are your performance drops when you reach at this stage. He still handled Peak Steyn & Morkel well in 2010. Square cuts & backfoot punches flew in Centurion 2010

Yes but as i said before, sachin is someone who used to adapt and make plans. Andersons chief strength is that he can swing both ways off same length. Sachin woud have countered that by avoiding shots on off completely, trying to see off Anderson and play other bowlers. Whether it would have succeded is another question but Sachin was not someone who would make same mistakes across multiple series GoldenSun 1
Lone Wolf Posted August 27, 2021 Author Posted August 27, 2021 Also sometime ago Rahul Dravid once said that the kind of bats these guys have now makes much easier to handle pace bowling & timing is absolutely ridiculous. These new bats coupled with new technologies & fitness diet has made things lot easier. Also the freakin analysts have taken this to whole another level in batting & bowling.

He struggled entire 2011 and 2012 against all bowlers from all teams, even bangladesh bowlers Also sachin ALWAYS struggled against first time bowlers. Whether it was akhtar or asif or anderson or steyn. He always used to come back with plan next series and do better. Very few bowlers really doninated him across multiple series Edited August 27, 2021 by New guy kohli and raki05 1 1
Lone Wolf Posted August 27, 2021 Author Posted August 27, 2021 Kohli can easily learn how even KL Rahul has adapted well this series... What shots he is picking? He probably won't listen to Rathore even due to his ego.. Rathore won't mind as long as he is making easy bucks. Clear deficiency in Kohli's way of batting.. Walking wicket in front of Anderson.. Curran Overton would be smashed to oblivion by our own Fab 4.. Faaaking Trundler army. nevada and raki05 2

Pitches have been more spicy too. NZ - Way way better in the last decade. Australia - Par. In fact one can argue the combined pace attack of Cummins, Hazzlewood, Starc/Cummins is better than McGrath, Gillespie, Lee. South Africa - Par. But Kohli has consistently faced very tough attacks in SA in the form of Steyn/Morkel/Philander/Rabada/Ngidi and going to face Nortje later this year. Never had breathing space unlike Sachin, who made merry of the likes of Tsosobe in 2010. So come again with better arguments. Kohli fan are so shameless.... Kohli made marry on flat aus pitches his best series against aus on a super flat pitch and you can go check the attack of that series. Hazzelwood, starc/cummins is beeter than McGrath ,Gillespie and lee... man even McGrath alone will eat current aus attack alive. Sachin has also faced Steyn,Morkel and Philander.. Only extra good bowler which Loli faced is Rabada and Donald ,Pollack both were much better than Rabada. Ngidi is shitty bowler just because our lol bunch made him look better dont confuse him with some great bowler. Kohli fans are as shameless as kohli himself is Bloddy he is the most overrated player in Indian history. His runs are as useless as it comes flopped everytime when it mattered. Lost a final against a weakest pakistani team ever. Feasted on Wi,BD and afg attack at home ground even aus made him look like tailender during our home series. Vk1 Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 not having square drives and square cuts is finally catching up with Kohli in Eng.. with such game you can only play cover drives or try to steer to third man Lone Wolf, nevada and raki05 3

So you want to consider when Anderson and Broad were in prime in 2011 when Sachin was 38 years old but you don't want to take in to account when 34 year old Sachin belted them in 2007 series. Sachin in his prime would have dealt with them like he dealt with Ambrose, Walsh, Washim,Waqar, Donald ,Pollack now dont tell me Clouderson is better than these bowlers.
Mariyam Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Why are peeps comparing Sachin's record vs Kohli's in England? That is so not the point. Given his 2 + year slump, Kohli can learn something about correcting technique/temperament from Sachin. What is wrong in being receptive and taking an expert opinion? Can't fault Gavaskar for his comments here.

Did they play against India together? All four are inferior to prime Anderson and Broad. Apart from Hoggard, others were inconsistent, prone to leak runs. Anderson and Broad just wouldn't give anything away

I am no Kohli fan but talking about facts, Kohli score 593 runs in England last time, over 250 runs more than batsman from both sides and those were some of the most difficult conditions to bat on.
