Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL

This is good for RCB as he was useless with bat with only one cameo in three years of his IPL career and that too vs a mediocre bowling attack of RR. His bowling is useful to left handers. But they have enough spinners to do the job. Maxwell can also bowl two overs as he is an off-spinner too.

Now they can play Hasaranga as all-rounder at no.7.

Dev

Kohli

Patidar

AB

Maxwell

Hasaranga

Jamieson

Harshal

Shahbaz

Siraj

Chahal

Since Kohli likes going with enough bowling options, this is the team he will go with. But I would personally like him to go with a batsman instead of Shahbaz as Maxwell can play the third spinner role if it is really required.

hopefully that means Ashwin in WT20

We can't go in WT20 without an offie

Would be amazing if that happens.  Although looks like Jaddu Rahul Chahar & Chahal might be three frontline picks.

Ashwin is ultimate dark horse.  Personally I think he is our best T20 bowler along with Bumrah.

some lefty will wreak havoc if we only play SLA and leggie.T20 is format where even one over can change the game.

I have never rated Jadeja as a T20 specialist as his bowling is easy to line up.  Batting he has issues.  Axar to me is a better package in the format.  His bowling far lethal than Jaddu & batting evens out.

Ashwin is very economical option & will be handy in UAE.

That will happen only if Ashwin bowls amazingly well in the next test.

T20 teams have to be announced by 10th Sept.  IF Ashwin does well at Oval, selectors will be under pressure not to ignore him.

Jadeja has done better recently. The 44 in Aus comes to mind. He's better bat than Axar .The bowling should be okay in UAE for 5th bowler

Axar is more of a 4th bowler and no.8

Krunal is another option.

All these are roughly equally good/bad

Same here, never been a fan of jaddu in t20

Axar was always a better t20 bowler then him

Here we go again. Doubtful for Zimbabwe series now.

Seriously, it's too much now.
I won't be surprised if he falls behind in the pecking order.

Axar is ahead and he himself is a backup to Jadeja. His only chance is to be a backup to the left-hander middle overs role. But he can't just ask for it.
