Conjectures are not evidences, you are clutching at straws. There is no proof that players were in talks with franchises and opted not to play the 5th test.. the charted flights were arranged after the match was canceled.

No need to give proof. The planes were immediately made available by the franchises, highlighting a on going contact during the series.

 

Also quarantine/isolation is usually done on individual basis not by flying with other players and family.

Charter flights can be made available in 2 hours. Money can buy it

UK to UAE, at this time you can arrange 20 charter flights in a few hours. Many smaller airlines do not have scheduled flights due to Covid and their planes are available for charter.

Nobody was quarantined, they were reluctant to take the field. It  was better to fly out of that infected country rather than sit there dwindling thumbs and risk getting infected in that godforsaken hotel!

ICF arm chair experts had same opinion about dhoni and now kohli. Kohli to his credit got test wins in Australia and England. The split captaincy will not work in India. This is a pipe dream.

If you whole support staff is gone how can the players participate. They are pretty important as well. Who can assess them for injuries and load management.

That was not cited as a concern (Test was cancelled on the match day not when Ind was out of support staff) at all as players, who are not school kids, can take the responsibility, along with support offered by ECB.

It was told through DK’s comments on SKY. Read the reports, not having. Physio was their primary concern. They also got an independent expert on Covid who advised them against taking on the field

"The players were devastated when they came to know that he had tested positive for Covid-19. They feared they must have contracted the disease and were dead scared. It's not easy staying in a bubble. Of course, you have to respect their feelings," Ganguly was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.

 

Facts:

• The match was cancelled on the match day despite assurances from ECB. If a lack of physio was a concern, it would not get cancelled at the last minute 
• The players said that they feared that they must have contracted the disease 
• Despite the fear of having contracted the disease and therefore going into quarantine/isolation in England, some of the players chose to fly to UAE with family and other players 
• If the test had been played, the players would have missed the early games in IPL (which the franchises may not have preferred) 

 

In India, match-fixers are supported too so I am not surprised with random comments in trying to support a scam on Indian cricket, which could potentially deprive India of a rare test series win in England.

Split captaincy does not work when outgoing captain still plays all three formats.If they feel Kohli is not doing the job they should appoint one who they think will do the job but it has to be same captain in all formats.
