One thing is that franchise usually would force only if it plans to change captaincy during the season. There would be no need for the franchise to convey its future plans during a tournament Also with 2 more teams being added, teams would look to take the opportunity to make changes after reviewing various pros and cons. So if RCB wants to change leadership, next edition is the perfect time nevada 1
kepler37b Posted September 19, 2021 Author Posted September 19, 2021 Kohli s era is done. He will soon be replaced in tests and odis. Verry difficult to get to form at 34. Lord 1

If he comes back in form, good, else move on from him. More importantly, if he does even tiny bit of dressing room politics and tries to unsettle the new captain, better to build the team without him. Oh absolutely! This is more of a ruthless sympathy. He deserves every bit of this IMHO. If he had bowed out after WC2019 debacle, it would have been fair for everyone. The moment he opted to travel to WI series w.o taking his break, I turned on him completely. Not that I was a fan of him before, but you know. nevada, express bowling and ShoonyaSifar 3
Rantzz Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Why won’t he captain IPL like Dhoni? is this to hide the fact he was asked to step down by BCCi so makes it seem like it’s his decision in all T20

They drop a innocous line like "we are looking for fresh leadership". You have to realize this as final decision and do a face saving resignation. i still believe franchise forced it. diga and nevada 2

If it's forced and he still wants to captain then he won't say he will play with rcb till his last match in ipl. He can just leave rcb in upcoming auctions and captain any team he wants.

All this drama is aimed at getting some sympathy and have public opinion in his favor as he knows BCCI has decided to eventually remove him as captain from all formats.
