Much more than that. From his body language looks as if it was forced and acrimonius.

One thing is that franchise usually would force only if it plans to change captaincy during the season. There would be no need for the franchise to convey its future plans during a tournament

Also with 2 more teams being added, teams would look to take the opportunity to make changes after reviewing various pros and cons. So if RCB wants to change leadership, next edition is the perfect time

Zero sympathy for him for what he has done to so many youngsters. If he comes back in form, good, else move on from him.

More importantly, if he does even tiny bit of dressing room politics and tries to unsettle the new captain, better to build the team without him.

Oh absolutely! This is more of a ruthless sympathy. He deserves every bit of this IMHO.

If he had bowed out after WC2019 debacle, it would have been fair for everyone. The moment he opted to travel to WI series w.o taking his break, I turned on him completely. Not that I was a fan of him before, but you know.

This is how exits are planned in india.

The downright dismissal is considered as rude, hurtful and uncivilized.

They drop a innocous  line like  "we are looking for fresh leadership".  You have to realize this as final decision and do a face saving  resignation.

i still believe franchise forced it.

Franchise forced him. atleast as per me.

If it's forced and he still wants to captain then he won't say he will play with rcb till his last match in ipl. He can just leave rcb in upcoming auctions and captain any team he wants.

All this drama is aimed at getting some sympathy and have public opinion in his favor as he knows BCCI has decided to eventually remove him as captain from all formats.
