T20 world cup favorites

slow pitches being the sole reason..  i would say

1. Bangladesh

2. India are the favorites followed by Aus with actual bookies favs Eng and WI having no chance on these pitches..

.. imagine the final on the slowest of pitches like in 2012/2014 and Toygers winning

Being Favorites doesn't mean that team will win surely. It's mostly decided on paper. 

 

India and WI are favorites imo.

 

India have favorable conditions and good recent bilateral record against all teams. WI have a bunch of highly talented T20 mercenaries.

Windies having won the T20 WCs in Sri Lanka and India will remain the favourites irrespective of the nature of pitches

Then NZ and England for their recent record in ICC events.

Then come India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Australia in that order.

 

My 4 semi finalists: WI, NZ, England and India with WI/NZ knocking us out in semis.

more than scoreline they are used to playing t20 on such pitches. they could very well pip India or Nz to take that semis slot.

I would not underestimate any good team in T20s … A couple of players in great form can make a difference to their side’s fortunes

WI are huge favourites.They have the batting to bulldoze teams even on these tracks

India

South Africa

Pakistan

 

Might surprise and have a decent chance 

 

England (in these conditions not favorites but have talented players)

WI (never know with them)

Bangladesh

 

very low chance and might have a mediocre time

 

Australia 

New Zealand 

 

one in a ten thousand chance (unlikely but you never know)

 

Afghanistan

Srilanka

 

0 chance 

 

All the other  qualifiers playing to make up the numbers.

Keep in mind that this is UAE and there will be pathetic slow pitches

 

. The difference between a team like Afghanistan and the top teams will only be batting and one freak innings by their batsmen will equalize things.

 

Same for Srilanka who have a good bowling attack and on the flip side Bangladesh which have a capable and experience batting, their bowling will be adequate  for those conditions.

agree. Their T20 team is not that bad. They are always competitive in T20. Top 3 favorites for me.

 

England and Nzl are being overrated here and SA is being underrated.

actually NZ is also not being rated which im surprised they have the team for low totals

T20s now are about how WI plays ... if their big hitters are in form and bowlers bowl cleverly, it would be entertainment unlimited so difficult not to support them
