Low energy Lord

Is it me or i saw a very low energy Lord.  He looked distinctly switched off in both the matches. Is it fatigue? or something else. I know he can travel. But he always had this energy about him. It was missing in both the matches.

too many nocturnal activities (e.g., gaming, watching movies/TV, other "stuff", ...) and not enough sleep

He has looked slightly off since the IPL final. Warm up games also traveled the distance. And now even in the main tournament. Something seems missing, but warning signs were there in the IPL final.

Well let's not have over expectations from him. Deep down we all know he is nothing extra ordinary as a bowler. Relies on mixture of knuckle balls, cross seam etc.  But as a overall package, he is better than Bhuvi, hence no issues with him.

Was never a long term option in T20. Can be decent in tests overseas. Nothing much.

He is a good trier and but a very ordinary bowler.. Feel his utility lies more in Overseas tests where we need a seaming all rounder

Let down by his recent performances. His contribution in the final test in Australia and one of the Tests in England has lead to fans having very high expectations from him.

He's okay on his day. A distinctly average LOI cricketer who wouldn't even get picked up for the national side had the T20 format didn't exist. 

That's not to say that likes of him cannot be useful. But completely relying on such bits and pieces players isn't a sound strategy and really sums up Kohli's captaincy career.

Yes. He can be like Nehra ji in death overs. But I felt the energy was missing. Usually he is switched on and in the zone regardless of how he delivers. He will give it  a good try. He rarely let us down completely.

Happens. Bowled his last two overs when there was plenty of dew and the pitch had got a lot better.
