Just like Karun Nair, another player in the form of Vihari getting treated like rubbish at the cost of phoney Rahane. Vihari is a very good player of spin, if he gets a complete home series he will pile up runs just like peak Pujara & something phoney Rahane can only dream of.

Indian cricket will forever remain mediocre just like it has been since time immemorial. We adore and appreciate mediocrity!!

I would rather play a Tendulkar thats almost 50 years old at 4 than Rahane. Im not joking either, thats how bad Rahane is. A walking wicket.

 

I would even argue that the attendance for the Test match would significantly increase too.

I haven't watched him keep that much. Looked ok in the overs I have watched him keep in.

 

He used to be a defensive batsman but has improved his hitting ability in recent times. Until I see him bat against genuine pace or consistent swing, I won't form a definitive opinion.

If TM has some shame they'll go with Oval Test performance of Umesh & overall performance of Siraj. 

Ishant is a liability in India.  I am gonna lose it of they bench Umesh in India

This squad and especially batting gives me a bad feeling, especially considering that nzl are good at ambushing teams in a 2 test series leading evryone to then ask why they don't play 4 and 5 test series since they're so good.

I actually see quite a few positives, it's refreshing to see youngsters being given a chance at home for a change though Iyer,Jayant and Saha are poor selections.  It's good to see Prasid and Bharat in the squad .

 

Rahane and Puajara leading is not ideal, but let's be honest in the absence of Rohit and Virat unlikely they would risk dropping these two .

While Kohli is useless vs spin...  Only genuine big miss are Rohit & Pant. 

Three players have to step up especially Mayank Rahul & Gill. 

I wish KS Bharath gets to play over Saha & he showed good aggressive game in IPl.
