Kapil Dev has raised a valid point. Kohli has been given more than his fair share of long rope just for his reputation alone and he has nothing to show for it. A couple of days ago there was another article about an "anonymous" BCCI official talking about the need for Kohli to prove himself in-order to keep his spot in the X1. The noose is tightening, Kohli can't go on forever without scoring runs.

not surprised to see people having short memories. if they want to disagree with kapil's take, that is fine. but to downplay one of our greatest ARs in Tests (and ODIs) along with mankad is horrible.

What is the point of tracking for 100s when everyone knows Kohli is not at his best … If ppl are so much into 100s, track it if/when he returns to form
 

Someone could start a thread on Ashwin-Jadeja’s lack of 5-er in SENA but what would be its the point.

To expect ashwin etc to take 5 fer in sena is hilarious . It’s not the same for batsmen and bowlers duh. Kohli lack of 100 can be compared with newcomers like d hooda hundred or sky 100 . Same conditions , less experience , better results .

Not necessarily hilarious when you consider Kuldeep, who does not play regularly (a newcomer), too has picked up a 5er in SENA 

 

Kohli, who has hit multiple 100s, is struggling currently though. One can question his place in the team but to waste time on tracking is pointless (once he hits a 100 or retires without scoring one, the data is automatically generated/available)
