November 23, 2019 was the last time Virat Kohli scored a century, against the mighty Bangladesh. The venue: the majestic Eden Gardens.

What are your memories of this great knock? When will his next hundred arrive?

Not like he was churning out 50s in Tests. All his 50s came in ODIs and T20s. In Tests during the same period he made only four 50s in 22 innings.

For most countries that would be enough to drop him from Test Cricket.

No. There are not many good test batsmen right now. Test batting is at a low ebb.

Incidentally the last ODI hundred also came in 2019. The number of ODIs have reduced due to the pandemic so that didn't give as many opportunities. He may be able to score an ODI hundred in the SA tour, some wickets can be really flat there.

The Mumbai test may be his best chance, he has scored a double there against Eng when he was in peak form.

Mumbai will be a good track most probably if not there then probably will take another long while.  In the end he won't come closer to Sachin I reckon.  Will fall short by 15-20 tons at least.

Averages 26 in that period in tests

nobody gave the possibility of 100 100s to sachin    at this stage.. had 2/3 good years

highly unlikely kohli will score another 30 centuries in 3/4 years
