For some reason people are after him all the time.. lol. Most of the time it does not make sense (Specially tests) as there are no similar replacements we have. Find one better and replace.

I think this is why he finds himself in that Wisden team -

During last 5 years his batting has improved and he constantly contributes playing at no.7 or no.6. Record of all players who batted 6 or below during last 5 years

image.thumb.png.9b029678e459a946a5f225a0e5d4d8f8.png

He has taken good amount of wickets at 4 wickets per match while doing the above with the bat.

All the while the catches in the filed, the run-outs and runs saved add up too.

People should not argue his place in the Indian side when he has done what he has done in the last 5 years. Specially when many of our top order batsmen are not doing any better while doing nothing else (No bowling and nothing special on the field).

I think the main point people have against him in tests is that recently he has not picked many wickets. Most of his contribution is bat and field. This is partly due to the fact that most of his recent matches are overseas. His stock as a bowler has gone down which is why people are against him playing in our team specially if he is the only spinner. However he is still a handful when the pitch favors him.

Not just the last 5, in fact he's the very best in last 7 years!

People have weird as hell mindsets on outcomes from individuals. Selectors expect him to play in all 3 formats as AR. Fans expect him to clobber Anderson & co when playing with the tail in Eng of all places.

In tests, he's very good as subcontinent AR and satisfactory abroad, at least he was bowling decently until that Aus series victory. Anything beyond is just too much expectations.

Yes, Jadeja playing ahead of Axar is absolutely fine so long his batting stays at the level he has maintained in the last 3 years.

The hatred for Jaddu is on account of selectors abdicating/failing at their job and not realizing he's not a short format player. Or rather, India has a more balanced ODI/T20 team without Jadeja. Axar is a MVP for his team at DC in IPL and Jaddu - after multiple seasons - barely coasts along.

Jadeja was not only MVP for CSK but nearly won the overall award this year.

Axar is obviously better bowler but his batting hasnt come along. This season he striked at 85.

if Hardik or someone else offered 10/4 overs,Jaddu won't be playing. Axar or someone else would be specialist spinner

I can understand hate/criticism for him in LOIs but that clouds over his value in Tests.

Averaging 34 and 25. In India thats 40 and 21, as good as having 2 players in one.

As for ICF's opinion on him,I see hes massively overhyped on twitter etc especially by CSK fans.Evens it out .The truth is always somewhere in between.

what are you even talking about? This is nonsensical?

Focus on what? Other posters on here agreed, you just make a random OP without any thought of the other players or the link.

Maybe learn to post properly next time.

Look if you learn from this, you will post better.

Posters in here agreed with me. Its not something to be upset so please dont cry about it, just think maybe give a bit of a better background instead of a random OP without some context.

Look youre not alone, Ive seen worst OP.

Jaddu the bowler is virtually finished, barring some innings here and there. And his batting is much improved, but he cannot play as a top 6 batting AR because Sundar is a better choice. I hope that Sundar can be phased in and Jaddu can hand over the reigns to him in a smooth manner.
