What has Mayank done to deserve another chance? Pretty sure RGS slots in at opening if he's fit/fresh then Kohli should come in at 4, Pant at 6 & possibly Siraj or Shami for veteran saab

Bharat does have some grafting abilities. He may blunt the newish ball after which Iyer and SKY can capitalize.

Even otherwise, if Kohli does come back as captain, there is a fair chance this team might lose to the Kiwis. In fact in this test as well if it was Kohli leading, after that opening stand by Young-Latham, we would have conceded 450-500

Saha is unfit and could not keep in the 1st innings. So, Bharat's inclusion maybe inevitable.

 

This means basically I am suggesting SKY in place of Rahane and Prasidh in place of semi-fit Ishant.

 

Senior Kohli is replacing Senior Pujara, so that balances out the seniority factor.

Thats what people dont realise.

 

Rahane more than made up his contribution by winning the toss. The other players appear to be at ease with him and perform better. 

 

Kohli will lose the toss and then score a valiant 50 in an indian loss.
